SMARTRAC NFC paper tags are held in stock for immediate shipment of small and medium sized orders. They have a glossy white paper face that is water resistant. These NFC stickers are embedded with the Standard 1K or 1K CL2 chip type. This chip type has a unique 7 byte serial number unlike the Mifare 1K Classic that has a 4 byte manufacturer ID. This chip type may not be compatible with all devices and/or require NDEF formatting in order to work with some devices.

  • Can be printed with Flexography and TTR with selected ribbons. Needs to be tested by the customer.
  • Do not print over IC area

An NFC tag has an NFC chip inside of it which performs the NFC interactions. There are several NFC chip types available and the choice of which NFC chip type to use is important. Each NFC chip has its own characteristics, features and cost. If you are not sure which NFC chip to use, our recommendation is to get a couple of each type to test with. The NXP NTAG series is typically what customers use. The NXP NTAG series comes in a variety of data capacity sizes and they offer the best device compatibility, speed, availability and cost.
